The church of St. Cristoforo is mentioned for the first time in 1378 among the parishes dependent on the plebanate of Pitigliano. The church of San Cristoforo stands halfway up along the provincial road that leads from the bottom of the Reno valley to Castel d'Aiano. It is closely connected to the underlying travertine caves, from which the building material was obtained. The gabled facade, as well as the sides and the visible portion of the presbytery have been freed of the plaster and are now exposed. The interior, like a hall, is paved with cement tiles and a barrel vault with nails. Along the sides there are four shallow chapels with barrel vaults. The presbytery has a quadrangular plan and a barrel vault.
