There are 13 fountains that enrich our country, and this is already a huge resource. But our fountains have a unique feature: they are also works of art, thanks to the inspiration of numerous artists who, over time, have beautifully decorated them, one after the other.
And here, starting from the upper part of the town, at the entrance to the Birichinaia playground, is the Fontana del Grotto, embellished with "Papisfero e mammamondo", an original sculpture by Alfredo Marchi, then, going down towards the center of the town, by the same sculptor the Fontana degli Alpini: a "calderina" on the fire, ready to make polenta, alludes to one of the typical foods of our mountain. The Fountain in the square, on the other hand, is a book from which the water of wisdom flows, by Luigi Faggioli, Also on the street in the center is the Fish Fountain, a small casket of precious paintings and sculptures, as well as Alfredo's "tigella" Marks from which abundant water flows from the spring.
At the end of the internal road of the town, the Ca' d'Cicon Fountain, decorated with the evangelical scene of the Samaritan woman at the source, the work of the painter Emilio Contini. Moving on to the sports facilities we find the sportsmen's fountain and, proceeding along via Venola, the historic Acqua della salute, supervised by the recent "Guardian of the water" by Paolo Gualandi. Returning towards the center of the village, the Fountain of the well, next to the ancient well where our grandmothers went to wash clothes and tell each other the news of the village.
Proceeding, alongside the Hotel Falco d'oro, the Fontanazza, which flows from "La spade" by Alfredo Marchi and in the garden of the Hotel the Fountain of the seven jets. Then the Fountain of the Park, at the entrance to the public park, colored by the suggestive paintings by Rolando Gandolfi, "Spring Night" and "Thirteen September" by Angelo Tassi. Again, in the village above, the Three Fountains, with the sculpture by Giambattista Sartore, immersed in the water of the wash house. Finally, along via Basabue, the Fountain of the beautiful sunset, which greets the sun every day, with its freshness and clarity.
