TUMBLING

The game was already practiced by the ancient Etruscans. In the tomb of the Olympiad of Tarquinia the so-called discus thrower is depicted, whose position is actually that typical of someone who is throwing a wheel of cheese.
In fact, originally the object of the throwing was a form of seasoned pecorino cheese, very hard and resistant, which the shepherds threw along the sheep tracks (cavedagne).
The ruzzolone is a game and a sport, which is practiced in the open air, it does not require large and expensive systems, it allows a healthy contact with nature, and it can also be practiced at all ages. There are two competition fields in the area, that of Montese and the Acqua Cerelia competition field, near Cereglio.
